The College determines eligibility through the enrollment process and the aptitude testing. However, we are a privately owned college, and we reserve the right of limiting enrollment to those who show an aptitude for Cosmetology/Esthetics training. We may reject anyone unable to benefit from, or adapt to the profession.
NOTE: The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology requires students to have completed the 10th grade and have a General Education Development Certificate (GED) in order to take the exam. The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology also requires information regarding misdemeanors and felonies. If this applies to you it will be necessary to let the Administrative Staff know and provide a copy of the criminal record.
Pre-Enrollment Requires:
The General Orientation is done in a group environment and takes place once a month.
Please call 707 545-8490 to add your name to a General Orientation. During the General Orientation you’ll be given a tour of the college, the Cosmetology/Esthetics industry will be discussed, and we’ll answer your general questions. Our Financial Aid Officer will also talk about the financial aid process.
If you are interested in grants or loans, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), may be completed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you require alternative methods for completing the FAFSA or you need assistance, please contact our Financial Aid Office.
Note: When entering your FAFSA online you will need our school's Federal Code: 013807.
Should you choose to proceed with the enrollment process, we encourage you to do research on the industry by visiting salons. Make sure you are choosing the best environment for your education. Registration appointments are available once you have attended a General Orientation and have completed the Payment Plan Questionnaire or have completed the FAFSA, which takes approximately 3 to 5 business days if completed and signed online. During the Registration Appointment, we will review financing, administer an entrance exam, collect your essay and letter of recommendation (see Admission Requirements), copy high school diploma or equivalency and copy valid government-issued photo ID. Upon total completion of this appointment, a $100.00 non-refundable deposit is due in order to receive an Acceptance Letter. In the event that we feel you will not benefit from our training, we will return your check with the Acceptance Letter (the $100.00 deposit is only refundable if we do not accept your application, and is not refundable if an applicant changes their mind).
